Wildflower Season in the Texas Hill Country, around Fredericksburg, is somewhat variable.
The 2014 - 2015 winter has been wet and COLD.... BRRRRRRR! PERFECT conditions to produce a bounty of SPRING COLOR and FLAVOR! Wildflowers and Peaches! Keep your fingers crossed! I'll let you know how the Bluebonnets are growing! REDBUDS, Flowering Quince, Mountain Laurel, and phlox begin in early March.

Bluebonnets are usually at their peak around the middle of April, but sometimes they begin much earlier in the season, if it's an early spring, and they reach their peak earlier, as well.
